Your PatchWave account
Your PatchWave account connects to your GitHub user. You use the same account for every GitHub organization you work with in PatchWave.
One account per GitHub user
Section titled “One account per GitHub user”The first time you install the GitHub app or join your team in PatchWave, PatchWave asks you to connect GitHub. A GitHub user can be connected to only one PatchWave account.
Your GitHub organizations
Section titled “Your GitHub organizations”Each GitHub organization or personal account that installs PatchWave has its own repositories, inbox, auto-merge policy, and team in PatchWave.
- When you connect GitHub, PatchWave gives you access to each organization you belong to that already uses PatchWave. Admins can also invite you by email.
- If you belong to more than one organization, you can switch between them.
- If you’re removed from a GitHub organization, you lose access to it in PatchWave.
- To use PatchWave with another organization, install the GitHub app there.
Sign in with more than one email
Section titled “Sign in with more than one email”Your account can have more than one email address, such as a work and a personal address. You can sign in with any of them.
Add an email to your account before you sign in with it. If you sign in with an email PatchWave doesn’t know, PatchWave creates a new account, and that account can’t connect your GitHub user.
-
Sign in to the PatchWave app with the email you already use.
-
Open Manage account from your user menu.
-
Add the new email and verify it.
If you created a second account
Section titled “If you created a second account”If PatchWave says your GitHub account is already connected to another PatchWave account, you signed in with an email that isn’t on your original account. Sign out, sign in with the email you used before, and add the new email there.
If you don’t remember which email you used, email support@contextbridge.ai.
